ST. LOUIS --
Congress has passed legislation to extend the The Breast Cancer Research stamp to 2011, four years beyond its original deadline, according to the United States Postal Service.
The stamp is part of the Semipostal Stamp Program, which serves as a fundraiser for different causes.
More than 802 million of the stamps have been sold, raising more than $59.5 million for breast cancer research since they went on the market in 1998.
